Showing off our client area
Have you ever wondered where this little button takes you on our site ?

We have a devoted part of our website to our lovely clients.
With such a large array of methods to get in contact with us, it can be hard to keep track of requests as they come in.
This is where our client area comes in.
It allows clients to log tickets with us, and associated them to particular members of our team.

Clients can also specify a title, priority, due date and even upload a file for the ticket.
This then gets sent to us via email, informing us that a client has submitted a ticket.
All our communication with the client is done through the ticket system.

This helps us in a few ways
- If we are unable to answer the phone, the client can still get in contact with us.
- If different members of the team are working with the client we can see where everyone has got up to.
- Any files to do with job in hand are all kept together.
- Individually we can see at a glance which jobs that we have got to work on.

It also helps the client because they can see jobs are being done.
Also if they get an idea or comment out of office hours, they can still get in contact via the ticket system.
As we have used the ticket system with our clients, we have found it very useful, and it has begun to expand.
A new feature that we have now is "Document Acceptance".
This new feature allows us to upload documents, that we would normally print and post or email to a client.
The client would then receive an email, informing them of documents that need approving.
These documents could be: a quote for work, design proofs, or even an invoice.
At a glance the client can see which documents need approving, and upon approving we log the date the document was approved and also display to the user.

The clients also have an overview of all documents, in a similar view to the tickets.

So rather than just resort to email and phone calls with our clients, we devote a little of our own website just for their use.
